Warli art, originating from Maharashtra's Warli tribe, dates back to 2,500 BCE. Known for its simplicity, it features geometric shapes like circles and triangles, typically in white on a dark background. Depicting scenes from tribal life and nature, it often portrays farming, hunting, and rituals. The art carries sacred symbolism, with circles representing the sun and moon. Initially on walls, it has transcended to canvas paintings, preserving the cultural heritage of the Warli tribe. Warli art enjoys global recognition for its unique style, adaptability to contemporary mediums, and its role in strengthening community bonds.
